Spitzkoppe
Spitzkoppe, meaning “pointed dome” in German, is a solo-standing mountain that can be found somewhere between Swakopmund and Windhoek. Also known as the Matterhorn of Namibia, it is the tallest peak of the country reaching 1 784 meters above sea level.
While visiting Spitzkoppe, you can either hike the mountain or practice your mountain climbing skills and of course, take a picture at the iconic Rock Arch.
Staying there for a night offers an amazing view of the sun setting and rising on the massive granite rock.
