Owner and Managing Director of Mat-Travel Tours and Safaris, Mathieu Connor has always had a passion for traveling Namibia. This passionate and energetic entrepreneur grew up exploring Namibia with his family in a Series 3 Land Rover. For him, camping, traveling and experiencing nature at its finest isn’t a holiday – it’s a way of life.
Driven to provide excellent service while sharing his love for Namibia with travelling enthusiasts, Mathieu is hands-on in planning safaris and overseeing operations.

Laura Connor
Our German booking agent, Laura was born and raised in the Black Forest in Germany. With her father being a Namibian of German descent, they spent many long holidays traveling the whole of Namibia. Before long, the family decided to relocate to the small town of Swakopmund on the Namibian Coast.
With her excellent skills in German as well as English, Laura is an invaluable asset to Mat-Travel. She assists with all German queries and itineraries, as well as helping out with the English side. Her wonderful memories and impressions of safaris in Namibia live on in the traveling joy she found as a child and are passed on when communication with guests of Mat-Travel.

Benjamin Haradoëb
As our most trusted driver and jack of all trades, Benjamin is Mat-Travels longest-serving employee. He has been with the company from almost the beginning, which gives him a deep insight into guests’ needs and wishes.
Simply called Ben, he shares his enthusiasm with travelers as he makes sure they get to their destination safe and well. Having grown up in rural Damaraland, Ben is extremely talented in fixing things as well as preparing and packing equipment. His dedication and effort is part of the reason Mat-Travel is able to offer such amazing experiences.
