Depart Swakopmund 07:00. Drive C34 north; arrive Cape Cross 09:00 (150km). Allow 1.5 to 2 hours at the colony. Continue north to Ugab River mouth (60km) for the coastal landscape. Return south via same route; arrive Swakopmund 16:00 to 17:00.

Itinerary 2: Two Nights. Southern Skeleton Coast
Day 1: Swakopmund → Cape Cross (150km; 2 hours at colony) → continue north to Terrace Bay (280km total). Overnight Terrace Bay.
Day 2: Full day at Terrace Bay, beach walk; fishing; the landscape at the road’s end. Return south, stopping at Cape Cross again in different light (afternoon vs morning).
Day 3: Return to Swakopmund via Henties Bay. Optional Zeila wreck stop on the C34.
