Fish River Canyon is one of Namibia’s most affordable major destinations. The NWR facilities at Hobas and Ai-Ais are priced similarly to other NWR camps; the private lodges are mid-range by Namibia standards; and the hiking trail permit is very reasonably priced for the experience it delivers.

NWR Fees
Conservation and vehicle entry: Per person per day at Hobas; per person at Ai-Ais. Comparable to other NWR entry fees across Namibia.
Hobas camping: NAD 200 to 350 per person per night.
Hobas chalets: NAD 800 to 1,500 per person per night.
Ai-Ais chalets: NAD 900 to 1,800 per person per night; includes hot spring access.
Hiking trail permit: Per person for the full trail including one night at Ai-Ais. Book and confirm current pricing through NWR.
Private Lodges
Canyon Lodge: Mid-range; NAD 2,000 to 4,000 per person per night including meals.
Fish River Lodge: Higher end; NAD 4,000 to 7,000 per person per night including meals.
Canyon Roadhouse: Budget-friendly; quirky; NAD 1,200 to 2,000 per person.
