Windhuk<\/a> ist die Hauptstadt von Namibia, mit einer Bev\u00f6lkerung von etwa 300.000 Einwohnern. Die saubere Stadt hat sowohl Geb\u00e4ude aus vergangenen Epochen als auch moderne Architektur zu bieten.<\/p>\n

Die Stadt liegt im Auas-Gebirge und sieht daher aus wie eine Ansammlung hastig zusammengew\u00fcrfelter H\u00e4user, aber das ist nicht der Fall. Windhoek hie\u00df fr\u00fcher !Ai Gams und diente als Hauptquartier f\u00fcr Jan Jonker Afrikaner<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dank der steten Quelle und viel Weidegrund f\u00fcr seine Rinder blieb Jan Jonker Afrikaner dort sesshaft bis die Deutschen ihn in den Kolonialkriegen vertrieben. Seit dieser turbulenten Zeit war die Quelle Zeuge von vielen verschiedenen Gesichtern, Herrschern und Sprachen.<\/p>\n

Heute ist Windhuk eine gesch\u00e4ftige, moderne Gro\u00dfstadt mit hochqualitativen Restaurants und L\u00e4den. Eins ist an der schl\u00e4frigen Hauptstadt ganz besonders: ihre Lebensgeschwindigkeit - oder eben das Fehlen derselben.<\/p>\n

Ein jeder Besucher wird sich gleich von der entspannten Atmosph\u00e4re eingenommen f\u00fchlen. Die vielen Museen und historischen Geb\u00e4ude machen die Stadt ein begehrtes Ziel f\u00fcr Fotografen.<\/p>\n

The closest park to Windhoek is the Daan Viljoen Game Reserve. Currently, the accommodation facilities are being renovated, but the game reserve is still open for day visitors.<\/p>\n

Etwas weniger gut unterhalten als andere Wildparks in Namibia, bietet das Reservat doch eine willkommene und vor allem nahe Abwechslung von der Hauptstadt.<\/p>\n

Es gibt in der Gegend auch mehrere \"Lodges\" (Hotels in der Wildnis), die viele wilde Tiere beherbergen und in wundersch\u00f6nen afrikanischen Stilen gehalten sind.<\/p>\n
