The NWR rest camp sits immediately inside the canyon boundary, 10km by road from the main viewpoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Facilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Camping:<\/strong> Multiple pitches; electricity at most sites; communal ablutions (maintained); braai facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chalets:<\/strong> Self-catering units; bathroom; basic kitchen. Adequate for a comfortable overnight; no luxury ambitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Restaurant and shop:<\/strong> Limited; basic food supplies and meals available. Bring adequate supplies from Keetmanshoop; the shop is not a full provisioning option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Swimming pool:<\/strong> A relief in the heat; available to all guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Hiking Trail Departure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hikers on the 85km trail are transported from Hobas to Hikers&#8217; Point (16km) on the morning of their start date. Arrive at Hobas the night before; collect your permits at reception; the transport departs early the following morning. Hiking group vehicles remain at Hobas for the duration of the trail; a pickup vehicle or NWR transport from Ai-Ais must be pre-arranged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Booking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Through NWR at nwr.com.na. Hiking start date permits are a separate booking from the accommodation; both must be secured.
