The ranch holds a managed game population (lion, cheetah, and a range of antelope species) and operates guided game drives and predator encounters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Guided game drives:<\/strong> Vehicle-based game drives through the ranch&#8217;s game area; giraffe, zebra, antelope, and at times the ranch&#8217;s lion and cheetah are seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Predator feedings:<\/strong> At scheduled times, the ranch&#8217;s managed lion and cheetah population is fed in view of guests. This is a managed, non-wild encounter, the animals are in an enclosed area, but produces close-range views of large predators that are otherwise difficult to achieve near Windhoek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Restaurant:<\/strong> A good-quality restaurant at the ranch facilities; lunch and dinner available for day visitors; popular with Windhoek residents for weekend dining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who It Suits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Okapuka suits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Business travellers in Windhoek who want wildlife without a multi-day safari<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Families with children who want animal encounters close to Windhoek<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visitors whose itinerary does not include Etosha and who want some wildlife experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It does not replicate the wild game drive experience; the encounters are managed and the reserve is not a national park.
