After having breakfast with your guide and receiving the brief about the tour, you can start your journey towards the Namib desert. The journey becomes an integral part of the adventure, with scenic landscapes to stop and capture memorable photos.

You will reach the camp for a late lunch and then relax for the rest of the day.

Embark on a scenic sunrise drive that will lead you to the entrance of the Namib-Naukluft National Park. During this drive, you will have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful views of the surroundings, including Sesriem Canyon, Dune 45, and Big Daddy Dune. This scenic drive covers approximately 60 km, and is a must-do activity for anyone visiting the area.

Your guide will bring you back to the lodge in the afternoon. Take the rest of the day to unwind and enjoy a sundowner.

Spend your day on a picturesque drive towards the coast of Namibia. As you pass by Solitaire, we highly recommend making a stop to indulge in their famous apple pie and to snap some photos of the vintage cars that adorn the area. Along the way, don’t miss out on other fascinating sights such as the Tropic of Capricorn sign and the Kuisib Canyon.

You will arrive in Swakopmund in the late afternoon. You can then enjoy free time to walk around and have a nice dinner.

Today is the ideal day to engage in coastal activities. The Mat-Travel Favourite Tour offers the Marine Dune Day Combo, starting early in the morning. You will have an entire day of exploration on the coast. Begin your day with a morning cruise to observe marine wildlife. After lunch, you will embark on an exciting 4×4 adventure through the dunes, which will take you all the way to Sandwich Harbour.

Later, you will have the evening to yourself to explore Swakopmund.

After breakfast, you head inland towards the Erongo Mountain range and Ai Aiba Lodge. The landscape of massive boulders, formed by an ancient volcanic complex, is breathtaking.

During your journey, your guide will take you to the San Living Museum. Here, you can participate in a bushwalk and a village tour to learn about the San people, who were the earliest inhabitants of Namibia. The region is also known for its numerous rock paintings.

Today will bring you to Etosha (The Great White Place in Oshindonga). On the way, you will stop to the Omapaha Himba Village to learn about the Ovahimba lifestyle and culture.

Upon your arrival at the lodge, you can rest and observe the animals as they approach the waterhole.

This day is a highlight for many: a full day of game drive in Etosha National Park. If you’re excited to see animals, this is the day for you. Your guide will bring you the best waterholes to view a wide variety of animals. The park fees are included in the tour.

Waterberg is a massive plateau mountain located about 50 kilometers long and 16 kilometers wide, with a height of 200 meters, which is approximately a three-hour drive away from Etosha. The region is particularly breathtaking during the rainy season as the landscape turns lush and verdant.

On arrival, you can enjoy activities such as hiking, and game/bird watching. All park fees are included during your stay in Waterberg.

It’s time for your guide to bring you back to Windhoek as you have completed the Mat-Travel’s Favourites Tour. Upon arriving in Windhoek in the mid-afternoon, you will have ample time to explore the city, relax, and enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the capital’s many fine restaurants.
